"Time for Design" features limited edition products, being sold to support the London institution.

BY STEPHEN PULVIRENT

The Design Museum, which first set up shop in 1989, will be moving from Tower Bridge to West London later this year. Ahead of closing the current space on June 30 (the new museum is slated for a November 24 opening), auction house Phillips has come together with designers, galleries, and furniture makers to raise money for the renovation and relocation. "Time for Design" is a one-time online and in-person auction of unique pieces, limited-production furniture, and prototypes from the likes of Nendo, Zaha Hadid, and Apple, with proceeds benefiting the museum. It is taking place at 7 p.m. BST on April 28, and here are a few of our favorite lots from the sale.
