To celebrate the November/December 2011 issue of Surface, the magazine hosted an event at the recently opened Hôtel Americano, the Mexico-based luxury hotel brand Grupo Habita’s first U.S. outpost (featured in our May/June 2011 issue’s Interiors section). The magazine’s friends were in high spirits as they met and mingled, enjoying cocktails crafted with Brugal rum. Among the guests: Issey Miyake’s head of womenswear Yoshiyuki Miyamae, editor of Esquire’s Clad venture Seth Howard, fashion lensman Adrian Nina, and Valentino’s Ryan Skelton.
