To celebrate the September/October issue of Surface, the magazine gathered its network of designers, architects, artists, photographers, and editors at Mister H, the nightclub at the new Mondrian SoHo hotel. Toasting with rum cocktails crafted with Brugal, more than 450 of the magazine’s friends turned up at the red-tinged, Asian-toned speakeasy. Among the guests: July/August issue coverboys Gregory Buntain and Ian Collings of Fort Standard, footwear designer Alejandro Ingelmo, rising fashion star Jonathan Simkhai, and architect Antonio Pio Saracino.
