For his current role at Burberry, Bailey made the uncommon leap from chief creative officer to CEO, a transition that happened in May 2014 following former CEO Angela Ahrendts’s departure to Apple. Bailey, 43, is well positioned for the job: Since arriving in 2001, his creative vision has invigorated the label for a new generation of consumers.
