Now in its 12th year, this is Surface's annual cover-to-cover send-up of America's next wave of talent. Surface publishes the 10 winners of its nationwide search to uncover the best new photographers, as curated by a distinguished judging panel and Surface editors. Since 2008, the magazine has added other creative fields to the competition, honoring visionaries with a portfolio of profiles and portraits.
Surface Magazine invites you to celebrate the top American innovators and image-makers of 2009. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 10th from 8:30pm till midnight in the Surface Penthouse of The Hotel on Rivington. The Hotel on Rivington is located at 107 Rivington St. Cocktails will be provided by Stoli; catering provided by Emerge. Entertainment will be provided by DJs Mr. Tibbs and Uncle Shadi.
