The Sanya EDITION

Inspired by the sea, The Sanya EDITION is an exceptional new destination on Hainan Island, just off the coast of Southern China, and Ian Schrager's first property in Asia. The Madison Cox-designed grounds—50-acres of indigenous landscaping, Madagascar almonds, and overwater pavilions, abutting a private beach—recall Beijing's Summer Palace. All of the 500 rooms in the horseshoe-shaped property have views of Haitang Bay; in addition, 17 villas are situated on a terraced hillside with private pools and pavilion spaces. Culinary options include a gourmet market, outdoor BBQ eatery, sky bar, and an Eastern-inspired restaurant lined in bamboo.
The high-low approach—three onsite art galleries, entertainment complex with bumper cars—reflects Chinese family travel habits interpreted through Ian Schrager's eyes.

Lobby Bar

Throughout the property, specialty restaurants create more intimate gathering places including an exotic, ocean level dining space, a signature restaurant, a gourmet market, an outdoor BBQ restaurant and a sky bar which offer an array of dining and entertaining choices throughout the day.
