Designer of the Day: Aaron David Clarke and Marta Tuneu of ADC & Tuneu

Aaron David Clarke and Marta Tuneu founded ADC & Tuneu in London, with a second studio in Barcelona, and have dedicated their practice to designing membership clubs and hotel interiors that favor atmosphere first. Their most recent project, Stradom House in Kraków, is arguably their most ambitious yet: a 14th-century monastery and church complex reimagined as a hotel without erasing the importance of its history. Below, they walk us through how the building shaped their design language, and share a look at their everyday life as interior designers.

Designer of the Day: Kiana Underwood

Kiana Underwood, founder and creative director of Tulipina, has built a career on creating lush and artful floral arrangements that treat color and texture with the intention of fine art. Underwood traces her love of flowers back to her grandfather's garden and her mother's constant presence of aromatic blooms like tuberose and narcissus, an upbringing that shaped a style she describes as increasingly free-flowing over time. Alongside her husband and co-founder, Nate, who runs the business side and shoots much of the studio's photography, she has built Tulipina into one of the most recognized names in luxury floral design, with work spanning New York, Paris, Dubai, and Tokyo and two books, Color Me Floral and Tulipina's Floral Fantasy, that document her creative evolution.

Meghann Stephenson Gives Dante's 'Inferno' a Feminine Rewrite

This September, Los Angeles–based painter Meghann Stephenson returns to Half Gallery's New York space with her biggest show yet, “Queen of the Neighborhood!,” opening September 9 and running through October 8. The title borrows its structure from Dante's 'Inferno,' featuring nine paintings, one for each circle of Hell, and corresponding to a sin reimagined through a distinctly feminine lens. One early standout from the show, To The Core, takes on fraud: a still life built around an apple that reads as a nod to Eve, its surface glossy and inviting until you catch the decay hiding in its reflection.
