Senior Director, Brand Partnerships - The List

Who You Are:

You should have 5-6 years of sales experience with a proven track record of managing and coaching a sales team while also maintaining a book of clients. You are someone who is passionate about design with an appreciation and understanding of architecture, art, fashion, travel and luxury. You are knowledgeable about industry leaders, emerging designers and rising trends. You have an extensive network of agencies, brands and creatives who would be perfect to join our members-only community, The List, and you will be the person to usher them in. 


  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands Surface’s customer base and ensures it’s strong presence
  • Manage recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Manage your own leads: proactively prospect, qualify, and grow accounts by developing strong and profitable relationships with client and agency partners, delivering industry-leading levels of creativity and customer service
  • Have a creative approach to sales, finding new ways to close business
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Closely coordinate sales activities and delegating tasks where appropriate in order to maintain 80% weekly selling time
  • Effectively manage your client management pipeline using our internal CRM system and close expected number of deals to reach revenue target
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a united vision when corresponding with clients
  • Ensure clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements
  • Comply with rate schedules, production procedures, accounting procedures, credit policies, and deadlines


  • Represent Surface in the digital marketplace and become an active brand advocate
  • Work with marketing team to formulate marketing campaigns for clients from concept to execution including deck creation, pitch, project management and ensuring deliverables are met
  • Share feedback from the clients with the marketing team and work with them to identify and develop go-to-market strategies that are custom to the categories you oversee


  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5-6 years sales experience with a proven track record of managing and coaching a team
  • Passion for design and a rolodex of connections and comrades in the industry
  • Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Ability to develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline and a proven track record of exceeding goals

  • Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in GSuite (Gmail, Gcal, Gdrive, Docs, Sheets), Adobe Acrobat, Keynote, and Social Media platforms
