Senior Revenue & Partnerships Director

Reporting to the SVP Revenue, the Sr Revenue & Partnerships Director will build revenue for Surface Media, inclusive of Surface and Watch Journal, and their corresponding web, social and experiential platforms. This is a sales and marketing opportunity for someone looking for a dynamic, fast-paced role.

Sales

  • Serve as revenue lead for Surface
  • Work closely with SVP Revenue to meet company goals
  • Maintain a book of business especially in the design/home category
  • Identify and close new business and manage incoming leads
  • Generate pipeline of prospects by maximizing meetings, outbound calls/emails, and networking opportunities
  • Have a creative approach to sales, finding new ways to close business
  • Bring first to market initiatives from Surface to brands
  • Expertise in the sales cycle for the industries our clients are in (timing, prospecting and when budgets are planned and deals locked in for the year)
  • Experience working with design driven brands and the luxury sector
  • Support, mentor and encourage the brand partnerships manager
 

Client Relations

  • Build and maintain client relations
  • Work with clients to find solutions when the company does not deliver on their campaigns (damage control)
  • Work with internal teams to service clients as needed
 

Marketing

  • Work with marketing team to formulate marketing campaigns for clients from concept to execution including deck creation, pitch, project management and ensuring deliverables are met
  • Share feedback from the clients with the marketing team and work with them to identify and develop go-to-market strategies that are custom to the categories you oversee
  • Serve as a brand ambassador that helps reinforce Surface and WJ as leaders in their industries
 

Administrative and Miscellaneous

  • Build projections (year, by product, etc.)
  • Keep internal CRM up to date
  • Write up agreements for sold partnerships and ensure that they meet company policies
  • Oversee pagination for Surface
