Line Lamp

Elish Warlop Design Studio is a multidisciplinary design firm specializing in lighting and furniture objects, with a background in architecture and construction, Elish takes her unique perspective to merge creativity and design with construction and experimentation. The work blurs the line between art and design, while having a practical application as it creates light or divides space

The Line Lamp is inspired by the gesture drawing, specifically the mark left behind, it is a record of one’s presence.  Made of brass bars, cloth cord, and LEDs, each bar can be shifted back and forth upon the horizontal plane, creating different densities of light along the wall.  Just like the gesture drawing it is a record of our interaction, played out over time in patterns of light and shadow.

4' wide x 6’ tall x 4” deep - width, height, and quantity of bars can be customized
