Art Stars Turned Up for Dorsia and Serpentine Galleries’ Dinner at The Joyce

A culinary centerpiece to Miami Art Week 2025, Dorsia and Serpentine Galleries’ convivial, collaborative dinner at The Joyce mirrored a shift observed throughout this edition of the annual cultural extravaganza: the return of focus upon artists. Hosted by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Bettina Korek, and Dorsia founder and CEO Marc Lotenberg, the elegant yet lively evening welcomed art superstars JR, Hank Willis Thomas, Holly Herndon, Dozie Kanu, Lita Albuquerque, Maria Kozak, Asher Liftin, Jillian Mayer, Ibrahim Mahama, Mat Dryhurst, and more. The gathering commenced with a cocktail hour in the intimate, art-forward space before guests settled into a multicourse dinner. The cuisine of executive chef James Taylor—from crispy latkes with Ossetra caviar and hamachi crudo to bites of the gourmet burger and slices of Margaret River ribeye and Wagyu filet mignon—pleased the palates of attendees. Late into the night, doors opened to a more expansive audience for an afterparty DJ’d by Nicola Bernardino.
