The Cincinnati-based talent offers mysterious artworks that keep you thinking. It’s a photo of a monument of Alexander Hamilton, an 18th-century general and one of the USA's founding fathers, whose name graces the artist’s hometown of Hamilton, Ohio. She captured his likeness by photographing his head from behind—as if walking in his footsteps. “I thought it was a symbolic photo to help commemorate Minted’s amazing milestone and very first Independent Artist Day,” she says.

The limited-edition piece was created for the design marketplace Minted's first annual Independent Artist Day, an event that highlights the world’s independent creatives. As Minted’s founder Mariam Naficy says: “In future years, we hope to celebrate this day with others who share the same appreciation.” Today, Minted’s community has grown to include more than 16,000 artists from 100 countries.
