New and recently composed contemporary art pieces by a trio of leading women artists—Nora Maité Nieves, Margaux Ogden, and Sarah Zapata—converge for the group exhibition Fragments, Stripes, and Repetition, presented by San Juan, Puerto Rico-based gallery Embajada within New York City’s NADA East Broadway. Curated by Embajada cofounders Manuela Paz and Christopher Rivera, the exhibition spotlights the expansive vernacular of abstraction through each artist’s radiant works. Ogden contributes lush, kaleidoscopic paintings, while Nieves’ fragmented creations toy with perspective, and Zapata’s fibrous sculptures question hierarchy.
