Anish Kapoor will exhibit some of his most ambitious artistic concepts.

For the second time ever, Anish Kapoor will open Palazzo Manfrin, the home of his Venice, Italy-based Cannaregio foundation, to the public. This time the artist will exhibit his large-scale sculptural works as well as models of ambitious concepts that never came to fruition. The exhibition, which coincides with this year’s Venice Biennale, will traverse more than 40 years of Kapoor’s career.

Named Der Pavilion, a new cultural platform from Nomad co-founder Giorgio Pace will run through March 1 at the former Eden Hotel in Saint Moritz. Pace, who left Nomad last June, envisions Der Pavilion as an evolving hub of art and design. The inaugural showcase features rare works by Gio Ponti, Andrea Branzi, Vanessa Beecroft, and Marína Karélla. Alfredo Paredes has announced the opening of a Hudson, New York store.

Alfredo Paredes is currently transforming 521 Warren Street in Hudson, New York into his first-ever store, with an opening set for the end of March. The interior designer will use the storefront to host pieces from his own furniture collection, alongside collaborations (like his recently launched fabric line with Kravet), and unique finds. Paredes teased the space in December with a pre-construction warehouse sale of vintage pieces.

Zak Ové’s Afrofuturist installation joins the Jungle Plaza in Miami’s Design District.

This month, the Miami Design District welcomed a large-scale public art installation by British-Trinidadian artist Zak Ové, entitled J’OUVERT and composed of two distinct sculptural works: The Mothership Connection (2022) and Invisible Man and the Masque of Blackness (2016). The former rises roughly 30 feet, merging African iconography with Afrofuturist form; the latter is a series of graphite figures that encircle the vibrant totem. On view through February 9, the piece is supported by substantial public programming.
