There’s a lot to look forward to at Art Basel Hong Kong 2026.

Running March 27–29, with previews March 25–26, Art Basel Hong Kong is returning to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre—with 240 galleries from 41 countries. The 2026 edition introduces new curatorial platforms—including “Echoes,” a tightly curated presentation of recent work, and “Zero 10,” a digital art initiative backed by OpenSea—alongside expanded film and installation programming led by Asia-based curators and artist Ellen Pau. Beyond the convention center, Pakistani-American artist Shahzia Sikander’s commission 3 to 12 Nautical Miles, will begin being projected upon the façade of M+ starting March 23.

More than a decade later, Lorde’s “Royals” surpasses a billion views on YouTube.

Lorde’s 2013 breakout hit “Royals” has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube, marking her first entry into the platform’s Billion Views Club more than a decade after its release (and joining an elite list that includes the educational track “Baby Shark Dance” and “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi). The video’s milestone underscores the song’s lasting cultural impact—after originally spending nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and helping launch Lorde’s global career as a teenager. Widely credited with reshaping 2010s pop through its minimalist sound and anti-luxury themes, “Royals” continues to stand as one of the defining hits of the streaming era.

Glasgow International has announced the program for its 11th edition.

The 11th edition of Glasgow International, Scotland’s biennial contemporary art festival, will take place June 5–21—across more than 20 venues citywide, featuring work by 50+ artists. The program spans new commissions, exhibitions, performances, and talks across institutions, artist-run spaces, and community sites, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, experimentation, and themes like ancestral memory, intergenerational exchange, and cross-cultural dialogue. New initiatives include “Special Projects,” spotlighting community-rooted organizations, and the return of “Gatherings,” a series of public events, reinforcing the festival’s role as a collective, citywide platform connecting Glasgow’s local scene with international practices.

Soap and shampoo maker Dove invokes the work of Claude Monet, Mary Cassatt, and Vincent Van Gogh.

Dove has launched a limited-edition haircare line, “The Art of Repair,” featuring packaging adorned with works by Monet, Mary Cassatt, and Van Gogh, bringing canonical fine art into the shampoo aisle. The collection draws inspiration from art conservation—likening the repair of damaged hair to the restoration of aging masterpieces—and is accompanied by a cinematic, art-heist–style campaign. Using public-domain works from the National Gallery of Art, the project reflects a broader trend of high-art imagery entering mass-market consumer goods, reframing everyday products through a museum-like lens.

UBS says there’s bearish sentiment around luxury stocks.

Investor sentiment toward European luxury stocks has turned the most bearish in years, according to UBS, as geopolitical instability—particularly the Middle East conflict—threatens to delay an anticipated rebound in demand. Rising energy costs, weakening consumer confidence, and limited visibility on earnings have made investors hesitant to increase exposure, even as the sector now trades below long-term valuation averages. Luxury stocks have also fallen sharply—down roughly 17 percent year-to-date—prompting more selective positioning, with investors favoring resilient names like Hermès and Ferrari or turnaround plays such as Kering and Burberry.
