In The Plaza Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, Citymeals’ 38th Annual Power Lunch Raises $1.4 Million

Nederlander, and Lizzie Tisch, this year’s 38th annual Power Lunch raised $1.4 million for food-insecure New Yorkers. In the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel, 400 guests gathered in support of a nonprofit that has delivered more than 72 million meals since its founding. Before the storied venue’s espresso mousse cake was served, business leader and advocate Suri Kasirer was awarded the Joan H. Weill Impact Award. “An organization like Citymeals fills a need day in and day out for the homebound elderly of our city,” Tisch told Surface at the gala. “Today’s luncheon raises much needed funds to ensure that our neighbors are fed and loved.”
