A Parisian Salon in New York Dedicated to Elie Top's Liaisons Dangereuses Collection
Brilliant and old cut diamonds adorn the ornate Dangerous Liaisons pieces of Flemish-born French créateur joaillier, Elie Top, which made their New York City debut in the library at The Lowell earlier this November. Hosted by Sabine Getty and Isiah Magsino, the Parisian salon-like release reception found artists, designers, and cultural glitterati gathering fireside—with the yellow gold and distressed silver gems passed alongside champagne and hors d'oeuvres. And while the conversation provided ever-flowing engagement, the collection itself—including the mesmeric Valmont ring, Tourvel earrings, and Merteuil bracelet—was the star. An emerald encrusted alligator perched on the shoulder of Magsino reflected a whimsy that Top, who designed with Yves Saint Laurent and for Lanvin before introducing his eponymous maison, is known to impart.
