FLAG Art Foundation and the Serpentine are throwing their might behind a $1.3 million art prize.

The FLAG Art Foundation and London’s Serpentine have launched a transatlantic prize that will distribute £1 million—about $1.3 million—across five artists every two years. Each winner will also receive a jointly produced solo exhibition, opening first at the Serpentine and later reconfigured for FLAG, with the inaugural cycle beginning in 2026. The prize targets early-career artists with fewer than ten years of professional exhibition history and will rely on nominations and a rotating jury. For both institutions, the initiative expands their efforts to support artistic practice and deepen exchange between the U.S. and U.K. art worlds.

M.I.T.’s A.I. major is its second-most popular undergraduate degree program.

M.I.T.’s “A.I. and decision-making” major now draws nearly 330 undergraduates and ranks second only to computer science. Schools like UC San Diego, South Florida, and SUNY Buffalo report similar surges as students look for training that blends technical skills with real-world applications in fields from robotics to health care. The momentum comes amid cooling demand for entry-level software engineers and a belief that A.I.-specific degrees will offer a clearer path into a rapidly changing tech economy.

With the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, Moncler will make its Olympic comeback.

Moncler will return to the Olympic stage at Milano Cortina 2026, outfitting Team Brazil nearly six decades after its last Winter Games partnership. The brand’s renewed Olympic presence builds on its close relationship with Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, the Brazilian–Norwegian skier who serves as a Moncler Grenoble ambassador and will compete for Brazil for the first time. Moncler plans to supply both racing and off-mountain gear through its Grenoble division, with pieces designed alongside Braathen and finished in a palette that nods to the Brazilian flag. The collaboration also aligns with Moncler’s broader push into high-performance design, supported by a film project and a series of forthcoming runway presentations at major ski destinations.

A$AP Rocky is the newest ambassador for Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel.

A$AP Rocky has joined Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel as its newest ambassador, marking a high-profile move after his tenure at Bottega Veneta. His first project with the house — a campaign tied to the Métiers d’art 2026 collection — debuts on December 2, following a recent New York shoot that briefly set off engagement rumors. Rocky praised Blazy’s approach to design and spoke about the creative momentum he sees at Chanel, while Blazy highlighted Rocky’s range as an artist and collaborator. The partnership signals a deeper alignment between the musician’s cultural influence and Blazy’s evolving vision for the brand.

With four more arrests made, eight suspects have been apprehended in connection with the Louvre heist.

French authorities have taken four more people into custody after last month’s theft of French crown jewels from the Louvre, bringing the total number of apprehended suspects to eight while one individual remains unaccounted for. The newly detained group includes two men and two women from the Paris area, though officials have not detailed their exact roles. These arrests add to a widening portrait of a local network tied to the break-in, which involved a rapid entry into the Apollo Gallery and a getaway on scooters. Investigators continue to search for the missing jewels as the museum accelerates long-delayed security upgrades.
