From April 21-26, Italian industrial company Flexform will host a two-part Milan Design Week exhibition titled “The Private Lives of Objects.” In Chiostro Sant’Angelo, a private piazza off Via della Moscova, the design brand will present its outdoor collection. In its Milan flagship nearby, Flexform will host its indoor counterpart. The throughline for both is the sense that furnishings do more than simply occupy space and meet a basic functional purpose.

Flexform’s philosophical take is predicated on the idea that design is an extension of our identity—a witness to our daily lives, a recipient of our affection, and a repository for our memories and experiences. Central to this is a new collection designed by Antonio Citterio, who has guided Flexform’s visual identity through more than 50 years of collaboration, as well as Patrick Norguet, Fumie Shibata, and new partners. The dual installations will act as an invitation to discover it all.
