Gagosian will present three large-scale Francis Bacon paintings in Paris.

Gagosian will present three major late paintings by Francis Bacon at its Paris gallery on rue de Castiglione, bringing the works together for the first time. The exhibition—timed to the 30th anniversary of Bacon’s 1996 Centre Pompidou retrospective—highlights large-scale works from the 1980s that exemplify the artist’s psychological intensity and pared-back late style. Staged in a city central to Bacon’s life and practice, the show underscores his enduring dialogue with Paris, where he maintained a studio and deep intellectual ties during the latter part of his career.

L’Oréal completed its $4.6 billion acquisition of Kering Beauty.

L’Oréal has completed its acquisition of Kering Beauté, including luxury fragrance house Creed, as part of a broader €4 billion strategic partnership with Kering. The deal also grants L’Oréal 50-year exclusive licenses to develop and distribute beauty and fragrance products for Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga, with Gucci rights to follow after Coty’s existing agreement expires. Beyond the transaction, the companies plan to collaborate on a joint venture in wellness and longevity, reinforcing L’Oréal’s dominance in luxury beauty while allowing Kering to focus on its core fashion business.

Barclays Center launches an art program, with Paul Pfeiffer as the first resident artist.

Barclays Center has launched “Brooklyn Art Encounters,” a multi-year initiative expanding its public art program into artist residencies, digital works, and large-scale commissions, with Paul Pfeiffer inaugurating a residency focused on media workshops for justice-impacted youth. Beginning in May, the program introduces “Art on the Hour” on the arena’s Oculus screen, followed by major installations from Sarah Sze, Rashid Johnson, Mark Bradford, and Kambui Olujimi across the venue’s atrium, entrances, and plaza. Overseen by curator Andria Hickey and advised by leading museum figures, the initiative builds on prior commissions and positions the arena as a hybrid cultural platform connecting contemporary art, community engagement, and mass audiences.

Euphoria season three will premiere at Coachella.

Euphoria season 3 will hold a special premiere screening at Coachella 2026, marking an unusual crossover between a major music festival and a high-profile TV launch. The event—part of a broader promotional rollout ahead of the show’s HBO debut—signals how studios are increasingly using live cultural events to generate buzz. Following the conclusion of the final festival performance on April 12, the season’s first episode will begin playing at 11:59 p.m. PT at the Coachella Campgrounds.

Amazon is introducing a fuel surcharge for sellers.

Amazon is introducing a 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge for sellers using its fulfillment services (FBA, Buy with Prime, and multi-channel fulfillment), citing rising oil prices tied to Middle East conflict and broader supply chain disruptions. The move reflects a wider industry trend, as major carriers like Maersk and CMA CGM have rolled out emergency fuel surcharges and bunker fees to offset volatile energy costs impacting global shipping networks. At the same time, regulators are pressuring logistics firms to limit additional charges—highlighted by a recent U.S. ruling restricting “refusal-to-deal” practices under the Ocean Shipping Reform Act, signaling growing scrutiny over how carriers pass costs onto customers.
