Fourteen international artists have put “a deluge of waste” front and center at MoMA PS1.

Fourteen artists from around the world have come together at MoMA PS1 for “The Gatherers,” an exhibition that confronts the environmental and social toll of unchecked production and waste. The show spans sculpture, video, assemblage, and installation, linking practices from places as far apart as the Democratic Republic of Congo and Lithuania. Chief curator Ruba Katrib emphasized that the works address these pressures through form and material rather than direct narration, allowing the art itself to carry the weight of meaning. Running through Oct. 6, the exhibition immerses visitors in a sensory landscape of dislocation, fragility, and occasional resilience.

Philadelphia’s international airport art collection will soon include a 10-foot bronze Rocky statue.

Philadelphia International Airport will install a 10-foot bronze Rocky statue by A. Thomas Schomberg, joining the city’s famed version at the Museum of Art. The $1.5 million work, set on a steel base, will stand in Terminal A-West, past security, positioned against the backdrop of the runway. Philadelphia will then own two of the three existing castings, with the third held by Sylvester Stallone. Officials plan to unveil the statue in time for the city’s 2026 semiquincentennial, giving travelers an instantly recognizable landmark as they arrive or depart.

Vogue’s Louis Vuitton-only cover shoot is raising fashion industry eyebrows.

Vogue’s September cover featuring Emma Stone has stirred debate after the actress appeared exclusively in Louis Vuitton across a 12-page editorial, alongside multiple Vuitton ads in the same issue. While Vogue insists the decision was an artistic collaboration between Stone, Nicolas Ghesquière, and Anna Wintour, critics argue it blurs the line between editorial and advertising. The move reflects a broader industry shift, as magazines with declining influence lean more heavily on brand partnerships that once felt secondary to creative vision. For some, the all-Vuitton shoot signals a loss of editorial independence and a dampening of the magazine’s once-powerful cultural impact.

FloSports, a $200 million sports streaming app, could unseat Fox and ESPN’s market dominance.

FloSports, valued at $200 million, is positioning itself to challenge Fox and ESPN’s hold on sports broadcasting. The platform has built a strong following by streaming niche and emerging competitions often overlooked by major networks. Its direct-to-consumer model and emphasis on underserved markets give it a foothold that could disrupt traditional coverage. With investment and growth momentum, the company is signaling a credible threat to established players.

The key to enhancing aircraft safety could lie in this signal modernization technology.

A new application of ADS-B technology, called SafeRoute+, is giving pilots direct access to real-time traffic data in the cockpit, improving awareness and reducing reliance on visual checks alone. Trials at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport showed the system allowed more landings per hour, cut flight times and fuel use, and safely reduced spacing between aircraft, even in poor weather. The technology not only enhances safety by lowering the risk of runway incursions but also improves efficiency and decreases emissions. With retrofit options available, its wider adoption could help airlines, airports, and passengers manage rising travel demand without expanding infrastructure.
