Ginori 1735 Debuts The Florentine Nature-Inspired Florenza Collection

Italian heritage porcelain producer Ginori 1735 has just debuted a new collection of tableware and home décor pieces, Florenza, that channels the concept of an unframed garden. The name, a reference to hills of Florence, conjures images of the rolling region’s wildflowers as they grow—spontaneous and free, without a predetermined order. It’s this unrestrained sensibility that lends the collection a type of majesty one most commonly associates with a walk in a garden.

Rather than depict florals in full, Florenza focuses on fragments and gestures. Petals and leaves sweep against or disappear behind the edges of plates, brushstrokes feel impulsive—suggesting motion rather than permanence. This abstraction invites closer inspection, and the result is a contemporary, poetic interpretation of traditional botanical motifs.

Ginori explores this floral depiction through two distinct color schemes. Verde Acanto, a deep, botanical green, draws from acanthus leaves and the tonal depth of Tuscan vegetation. Rosa Malva, by contrast, introduces a softer, more luminous register—a dusty pink with coral and lilac undertones that feels fresh. Together, they function less as literal references and more as complementary moods. Additionally, full-color pieces are contrasted by white porcelain ones with minimal botanical flourishes, allowing for playful table-setting.

Florenza is composed of 24 new tableware pieces and 14 giftware objects, ranging from tea cups and saucers to an assortment of plates, trinket boxes, and vases. The collection joins many iconographic releases from across Ginori’s historic repertoire—including those from Gio Ponti, who served as the Ginori Manifattura’s artistic director from 1923 to 1933, like Labirinto and Catene, as well as more recent collaborations with contemporary designers including Luke Edward Hall and Luca Nichetto.
