MTA’s Grand Central subway station welcomes a Hilma af Klint-inspired mural.

A vibrant new mosaic by art collective Hilma’s Ghost now spans 600 square feet at the 7 train’s Grand Central subway station, weaving tarot imagery and spiritual abstraction into a bold tribute to Hilma af Klint. Titled Abstract Futures, the mural transforms the daily commute into a layered meditation on movement, renewal, and New York’s ever-shifting energy. It marks the collective’s first public commission and anchors a broader revitalization of the station.

Hyundai has announced an open call for its Blue Prize+ honoring emerging curators.

Hyundai has opened submissions for its eighth annual Blue Prize+ curatorial award, in which emerging curators are invited to propose exhibitions that engage with Asia’s cultural and social context. Finalists will receive mentorship from an international panel, funding for research and production, and the opportunity to mount exhibitions at Hyundai Motorstudio Beijing.

A new program of music and performance at Bourse de Commerce pays tribute to Arthur Jafa.

The Bourse de Commerce has launched a new music and performance series curated by Cyrus Goberville, aligning with its “Corps et âmes” exhibition and honoring Arthur Jafa’s enduring influence. Drawing on Jafa’s concept of “affective proximities,” the program brings together artists across genres ranging from experimental electronics to Memphis rap,to create unexpected dialogues. Highlights include performances by the singer Diamanda Galás, DJ and record producer Theo Parrish, and an upcoming showcase led by French multidisciplinary artist Crystallmess.
