Avian Artistry Illuminated the 2025 High Line Art Dinner
Encircling "Dinosaur," the monumental pigeon sculpture by artist Iván Argote, the 2025 High Line Art Dinner indulged in lush avian attributes—from guests in bird-inspired attire to twigs and birdhouses used as aesthetic accents by event designer Bronson van Wyck of Van Wyck & Van Wyck. Hosted by Friends of the High Line, the nonprofit conservancy that pilots the High Line and raises almost 100 percent of the annual operating budget for the park’s public art, the annual fundraiser nested into the art-focused plaza known as the Spur. A celebratory cocktail hour transformed into festive remarks and dinner, catered by BITE New York and complete with a silent auction and magical entertainment. Argote was in attendance, as well as artists Alvaro Barrington, Lucy Fradkin and Arthur Simms, Dominique Fung, Sheree Hovsepian, Marianna Simnett, and Joel Sternfeld—as well as Friends of the High Line executive director Alan van Capelle.
