Open now through September, Pebble Bar at The Rink is an outdoor drinking and dining destination that sets the cocktail lounge’s award-winning program within the iconography of Rockefeller Center’s ice rink. Using black-and-white striped umbrellas, high-top tables, and outdoor furniture, Gachot Studios bridged the sophisticated aesthetic of Pebble Bar with that of a summery outdoor café—set below the venue’s golden Prometheus statue. The beverage program is helmed by Pebble Bar’s Authentic Hospitality, while the seasonal light bites are provided by rink-side neighbor, Jupiter, from Michelin-starred chefs, Clare de Boer, Annie Shi, and Jess Shadbolt. A surprise addition completes the al fresco experience, and is available for all to enjoy: bocce.

“Drawing from old-world European cafés and the vibrant energy of grand hotel lobbies, we’ve created a playful, elegant setting where spritzes, bocce, and lounge-style seating invite guests to linger and connect,” Christine Gachot, the studio’s co-founder, tells Surface. Together, Gachot Studios and Authentic Hospitality have successfully reimagined a New York City landmark.
