Hospitality Industry Luminaries Turn Up For Schmuck's First Anniversary Party
For East Village cocktail hotspot schmuck.’s first anniversary, owners Moe Aljaff, Juliette Larrouy, and Dan Binkiewicz welcomed some of the hospitality industry’s brightest stars—Katana Kitten’s Masa Urushido, Superbueno’s Nacho Jimenez, Sip & Guzzle’s Steve Schneider, Attaboy’s Sam Ross, Whoopsie Daisy’s Ivy Mix, Double Chicken Please’s GN Chan & Faye Chen, and many more—to a raucous house-party styled event. Brooklyn’s Lighthouse prepared a lavish Mediterranean spread, complete with “schmuck.” sculpted from challah bread. Surprise entertainment included tarot readings, live illustrations from Katherine Grace, a Marc Rebillet DJ set, and a Les Greene & The Swayzees performance. Next for the vibe-forward venue is a residency series that will first welcome Bangkok's Bar US on February 17.
