Lauren Rottet's Montauk residence
The Supper Club’s Candlelit Montauk Dinner with Lauren Rottet and Surface
Architect and designer Lauren Rottet, founder of Rottet Studio, welcomed guests of The Supper Club into her modernist Montauk home for a multi-course candlelit dinner by Austin’s chef Danny Kievit. Designed by George Nelson and completed in 1962, the home is composed entirely of hexagonal volumes—a rare, wondrous architectural attribute that enveloped attendees. The guests, including influential creatives invited by Surface, were greeted on the second floor by a Ruinart Champagne reception, complete with Après caviar blinis and the melodies of harpist Erin Hill. On the first floor, chef Kievit’s five seasonal courses were paired with a trio of Avaline wines and hours of convivial cross-table discourse. Afterward, attendees sipped upon the spectacular Glenfiddich Grand Château 31 Year Old single malt scotch whisky—drawn from a bottle illustrated by French graffiti artist André Saraiva—late into the night. Guests included Robert Farrior, Diego Osorio, Maria Kozak, Rafal Wielgus, Julia Watson, Max Pollock, Paola Hernandez, Sara Meltzer, and more.
