A rumination on domesticity, womanhood, the passage of time, and their complexities, “While You Were Sleeping” is a new solo exhibition of oil paintings by Philadelphia-based artist Elizabeth Bergeland. An engrossing 18-foot-long triptych, aptly entitled While You Were Sleeping, anchors the show while communicating its central themes and Bergeland’s surrealist touch. The venue, Studio 105, is a rotating exhibition space on the ground floor of Ray Philly, the mixed-use, art-driven development in South Kensington, Philadelphia.
