VISU Contemporary: My Silence Is Made of Explosions
March 19, 2026 - May 31, 2026

28 photographic works by pioneering women in Surrealism—including Aïda Muluneh, Patricia Voulgaris, Tania Franco Klein, Dora Maar, and Zanele Muholi—complete a mesmeric survey at Miami Beach’s VISU Contemporary. Entitled “My Silence Is Made of Explosions,” and opening March 19, the group exhibition affirms the art movement’s early necessity and continued relevance—“never about escape,” according to curator David Raymond but “about accessing truths that rational systems cannot contain.” Within, fact and fiction blur beneath allusion and aesthetic—yet urgency remains.
