For the first time, 15 Robert Rauschenberg prints held by The New School Art Collection will be presented together. The exhibition, co-curated by the Vera List Center for Art and Politics and titled “Robert Rauschenberg & the News: Select Prints from The New School Art Collection,” centers the civically minded artist’s examination of the changing political landscape—and the way it engulfed news media—during his decades-long career. Rauschenberg artfully layered headlines, photos, and other fragmented ephemera for the pieces.
