For the first time since contemporary artist Nicholas Hondrogen’s 2007 death, a career-spanning retrospective—entitled “It Never Ends”—will take place in Los Angeles. Presented by The Hole, and organized in partnership with Hondrogen’s friend and estate manager, the acclaimed photographer Jeff Vespa, the exhibition traverses the artist’s style and forms—from the shaped canvases he produced in Paris in the ‘70s to his layered Mylar creations in the ‘90s and beyond. His later “Fractal Ellipse” paintings mark a final act—one of continued experimentation and abstraction.
