Predicated upon a commission by interdisciplinary artists Kite (Oglála Lakȟóta) and Alisha B Wormsley, the exhibition “Welcome to Cosmologyscape” invites participants in the Boston area to submit their dreams (via the Cosmologyscape website) which are then transformed into animations on view within Wagner Gallery. Part of Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Wagner Foundation, which platforms the power of art and culture, the gallery is also exhibiting textiles, furniture, and sound developed by the artists through Lakȟóta philosophy, Afrofuturism, and Black quilting traditions. The exhibition aims to empower both visitors and online participants through the fusion of dreams and technology. Open to the public (with an RSVP required), a reception for the exhibition will be held on April 2, as will a forthcoming “Day of Dreaming” event in June.
