SELVA
Location: Miami, Florida
Designer: Lázaro Rosa-Violán
On Offer: High above the tropical dining theatrics of Amazónico in Brickell, Selva opens as Miami’s newest late-night temple to design, decadence, and sound. Conceived by husband-and-wife duo Sandro Silva and Marta Seco—the creative minds behind Amazónico—Selva marks the brand’s first stateside club and an evolution of its Monte Carlo counterpart. While the restaurant below seduces with open-fire cooking and Brazilian-modernist flair, the after-dark lounge sits on the top floor of the three-level complex, positioning it as the final act of the evening.
Conceived by Barcelona-based polymath Lázaro Rosa-Violán, the 250-person space reimagines the rainforest through his signature cinematic lens. Known for crafting richly layered atmospheres at Diverxo (Madrid), Rocco (Lisbon), and Amazónico outposts from London to Dubai, the designer brings his deft hand for texture and tone to Miami’s nightlife landscape. Volcanic stone, dark tropical wood, and a canopy of kinetic light sculpt the room into a living, breathing habitat that shifts with the beat.
Standout Features: Rosa-Violán’s choreography of light and shadow gives Selva its heartbeat. A custom NEXO sound system and a glowing LED tree animate the dance floor, while the photon-based lighting scheme reacts to the DJ’s tempo.
The layout favors intimacy: a low-slung bar glowing amber beneath woven rattan, banquettes upholstered in deep emerald velvet, and discreet mirrored alcoves. The opening lineup includes Nic Fanciulli, GENESI, and Vanjee, signaling a music program as globally minded as the design itself.
