Ginori 1735 Conjures a Playfully Arcane Gathering for Its New ‘Fortunae’ Collection
In the historic Gilded Age halls and chambers of the Morgan Library & Museum, heritage Italian porcelain house Ginori 1735 invited a design-curious audience to discover its new “Fortunae: The Art of Wishing Well” collection. Upon entry, guests were granted one numbered Fortunae porcelain keychain drawn from a wooden wall. Only one key among them could open a box inside the neighboring Librarian’s Study and reveal a Ginori 1735 gift. This whimsical touch set the evening’s tone, as attendees sipped passed drinks and mingled with tarot card readers or tried their hand at the Game of the Goose, a Renaissance-era board game covered in esoteric symbols and a centerpiece of the collection.
