On offer: Blending Scandi minimalism with California cool, Tina Frey Designs’ new home store brings the San Francisco stalwart’s organic designs and exquisite curatorial eye south to the fringe of Santa Barbara. Channeling the feel of a contemporary cabin, the sunlight-filled space is outfitted in blond woods, white walls, high beams, and Kate Holstein’s ocean photographs that reflect the shop’s location in the seaside hamlet of Montecito.
Standout features: On the shelves, visitors will find Tina Frey’s hand-sculpted homewares, custom furniture pieces, and an edit of her favorite designs such as Danish furniture designer Nanna Ditzel’s celebrated Hanging Egg Chair and Chill Lounge Chair. Debuting in concert with TF Design Montecito is the brand’s latest collection, including paper-sized serving platters in black, white, fog, and rainbow, bean-shaped Meditation Seat, and a coterie of minimalist pedestal vessels ranging from a cake stand to an egg cup.
