This exhibition honors the career of the late Italian postmodern design icon, who passed away in 1997, seven years after being awarded the Pritzker laureate. His international works, including Bonnefanten Museum in the Dutch city of Maastricht, the Scholastic Building in Manhattan, Disney’s Celebration Place outside of Orlando, and Berlin’s Quartier Schützenstrasse—still challenge culture, tradition, and broader issues of contemporary life. The Alberto Ferlenga–curated retrospective, produced with Fondazione Aldo Rossi, brings together more than 800 letters, sketches, models, photographs and archival documents.
