Lower East Side gallery Harman Projects will host “Detour,” an exhibition showcasing 35 author-made notebooks from the Moleskine Foundation Collection. The show will feature notebooks full of original sketches, drawings, illustrations, and text from Lizzie Gill, Bryce Wymer, and 33 more artists. Each notebook is a work of art in its own right and tells a story of how creativity can be a transformational force for people. Following the conclusion of “Detour,” each notebook will be donated to the permanent collection of the Moleskine Foundation, a nonprofit that uses education tools and cultural programs to cultivate creative problem-solving skills among young people.
