The eighth edition of Canada’s largest showcase of contemporary design will see more than 100 exhibitions and events that salute the country’s emerging talents and thriving design culture. Keep reading for some highlights happening during the week.

Interior Design Show Toronto 2018
Now in its second decade, Canada’s premier design fair continues to champion innovative concepts with segments such as The LAB, an exploration of new apps and gadgets, and Studio North & Prototype, a marketplace for emerging designers.

“Matter”
An exploration of material life, memory, and transformation, this show at Craft Ontario includes works from 12 artists—including furniture designers Brothers Dressler and Mississauga-based artist Olga Klosowski—constructed from a range of media, from wood to film to reclaimed plastic.

Pulp: Paper Art Party 2018
A party with a message of sustainability, Pulp features 20 installations built with reclaimed materials by various artists, as well as music by Toronto jazz outfit A Little Rambunctious and DJ sets by Ebony and Wasserman.

TO DO Talks: Aberrant Architecture
The acclaimed London studio’s founders, David Chambers and Kevin Haley discuss ideas, experiences, and the stories behind their culture-savvy practice as part of an exhibition at the festival (“In Place”) showcasing six of its socially engaged projects.
