The storied Japanese artist will kick off her first touring exhibition in the United States since the 1990s at the Hirshhorn. Organized by the museum, the show will also be the first institutional survey to chronicle her immersive “Infinity Rooms,” from the earliest one, in 1965, titled “Infinity Mirror Room—Phalli’s Field,” to “The Obliteration Room,” first staged in 2002.
