Dominique Crenn will helm culinary at Dior’s first U.S. restaurant, on Rodeo Drive.

Dior will open its first U.S. restaurant this fall inside its new Beverly Hills flagship, with Dominique Crenn leading the kitchen. The chef, best known for San Francisco’s Atelier Crenn, has created a menu inspired by Dior’s archives, Hollywood history, and the women who wore the house’s designs. The restaurant, located on the store’s third floor, will feature both indoor and outdoor seating for 105 guests. This marks Dior’s first dinner service venture in the U.S., following its Dallas café partnership with Crenn earlier this year.

Demna’s first Gucci collection has debuted with a campaign shot by Catherine Opie.

Demna has unveiled his first work for Gucci since becoming creative director in March, presenting 38 looks that signal the brand’s new direction ahead of his full debut in February. The campaign, photographed by Catherine Opie, introduces the “Gucci famiglia,” a cast of archetypes styled in pieces ranging from logo-printed sheer gowns to a men’s bikini. The designs lean toward body-conscious glamour with flashes of humor, while a tighter palette marks a shift from his predecessor Sabato De Sarno. Demna, who shaped Balenciaga for nearly a decade, now begins defining Gucci’s next chapter.

A 5-alarm warehouse fire in Brooklyn destroyed and damaged numerous artist studios and businesses.

A five-alarm fire tore through a Red Hook warehouse last week, destroying or damaging dozens of artist studios and small businesses. The building housed the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, Hot Wood Arts, and Lanoba Design, among others, with many reporting the loss of years of work and entire inventories. While some artworks may be salvageable, others—including 800 vintage furniture pieces at Lanoba—were lost completely. As the cause remains under investigation, the local community has rallied with fundraising efforts to support those beginning the long recovery.
