Demna joins the advisory board for Kering’s creative residency initiative.

Gucci artistic director, Demna, and Chinese fashion designer Guo Pei have joined the advisory board for Kering’s Creative Residency for Artisanship, Fashion and Technology initiative. The program, announced last November in partnership with Shanghai Fashion Week, aims to nurture emerging creative talent in China and further the dialogue between Chinese and international creative communities. The inaugural residents will be selected by the board in the coming weeks.

CN Tower’s recently renovated observation level offers even better views.

Helmed by Canadian architecture firm Superkül, the renovation of Toronto’s CN Tower has increased visibility thanks to fresh vertical glazing and a glass floor replacement. With interior design inspired by tree branches moving in the wind, steeper windows, and the inclusion of a 40-foot-long, floor-to-ceiling immersive video wall titled “Atmosphere,” the firm enhanced the visitor experience. Further, the renovation included the addition of a new four-story maintenance gantry—which was hoisted all the way up and attached to the exterior of the tower’s uppermost observation level.

Philadelphia Art Museum becomes Philadelphia Museum of Art again.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has abandoned its controversial rebranding effort, which had proposed (among other things) a simplified name (the Philadelphia Art Museum). After receiving backlash, the institution has decided to retain its full name and refocus on community engagement and transparency. Museum leadership acknowledged the response, saying the reversal reflects a commitment to building trust with the audiences it serves.
