For Sophie Bille Brahe, glass has always worked as a vessel for memory. With the launch of Cellophane Nuage, a limited-edition collection handmade in Murano, Italy, the Copenhagen-based fine jewelry designer extends her sculptural practice beyond the body, translating a personal design language shaped by family and recollection into six vases.

The collection reworks her signature Escargot and Ocean forms while introducing new Escargot Ovale and Cellophane Ovale silhouettes, each rendering a cherished shape in soft, sculptural glass. Among the pieces are Cellophane Daphne and Petite Cellophane Daphne, created for Frederik Bille Brahe’s new restaurant and drawn from the myth of Apollo and Daphne as told in Ovid’s Metamorphoses.

“For me, this collection is a wave of soft, fluid glass, embracing elements of my family—from roses in my mother’s garden to my brother’s new restaurant,” she says. It’s the perfect summary of a collection where each piece is a tribute to the people and places that have shaped it.
