A Fête for Adrian Danchig-Waring's Final Bow

On Sunday, beloved New York City Ballet principal Adrian Danchig-Waring took a final bow at Lincoln Center following his artfully curated and emotionally driven one-off farewell performance. And yet, the dancing did not stop there; rather, Danchig-Waring spun across the floor at Performance Space New York during his tropical disco post-ballet rave. New York’s culturati as well as other lauded ballet dancers—all in glittering ensembles, contrasting patterns, or bright colors—joined him with a palpable effervescence. Altogether, it was a joyful valediction expressed through movement, as Danchig-Waring has done so gracefully with the NYCB over more than two decades.
