Over the past 15 years, Salon Art + Design has established itself as one of the most inspired, inspiring fixtures of the New York cultural calendar. The fine art and collectible design fair—known for inviting attendees into a discourse between museum-quality historic, modern, and contemporary works—returns to the Park Avenue Armory from November 4–8. Salon’s curatorial scope, from painting and sculpture to furniture and decor, ceramics, jewelry, and glass, populates installations in a floor plan of leading domestic and international galleries.
This year’s anniversary edition introduces a range of eagerly anticipated highlights. Vitra will exhibit its Panton Chair Classic Gold, a limited edition of 999 pieces worldwide, in celebration of Danish designer Verner Panton’s centenary. Its gold finish brings to life a vision Panton pursued in the ‘70s, but could not yet achieve. Sten Studio will debut the ‘70s-inspired ENTRETIEMPO collection, its first-ever collectible lighting pieces, composed of pleated translucent onyx shades paired with marble and travertine bases. The Mexico City-based firm collaborated with Dominican designer Jorge Brown Cott for the sculptural pieces.

ABASK, the platform for home-design objects, will unveil pieces from its first lighting collection—composed of 200+ works by more than 20 makers worldwide. Thirteen of those designers will be represented in the selection at Salon Art + Design, five of whom are based in New York City (Episode, Yuxuan Huang, Tennant New York, Peter Speliopoulos Projects, and Kickie Chudikova). Sarah Ysabel Narici’s DYNE will reveal its first timepiece, which incorporates a vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre movement. Cristina Grajales Gallery will complement Fernando Mastrangelo’s Territories with Tracy Krumm’s woven metal sculptural works and Anne Peabody’s Lily Pad coffee tables.
As a centerpiece, Grajales will position Charlotte Perriand’s Table Manifeste (1937), designed for Jean-Richard Bloch, amidst works by Paula Hayes, John Paul Philippe, Christophe Côme, and Aaron Portiz. Elsewhere, Donzella Ltd. will showcase a rare mahogany, brass, and bamboo desk by French designer Jean Royère, commissioned by Peruvian antiques dealer André Castoriano around 1955. An original 1951 Bowl Chair by Lina Bo Bardi will act as the focal point to Bossa’s presentation, “A Casa Paulista: Pioneers of São Paulo Modern Interiors.”

“What began as a fair has evolved into a broader cultural platform that brings together
extraordinary galleries, collectors, designers, and institutions while creating new opportunities for discovery, dialogue, and collaboration,” says Salon Art + Design executive director Nicky Dessources. “Looking ahead, we’re focused on continuing to grow Salon throughout the year while reinforcing New York’s position as one of the world’s leading destinations for design.”
Whether it’s Pierre Augustin Rose’s Salon Art + Design debut with a new collection or David Gill Gallery’s presentation of a unique patinated bronze and embroidered banquette by designer Sebastian Brajkovic, this edition will provide access to creations simply not visible together anywhere else.
