1. The Row, Montalba Architects
Featuring a sweeping 25-foot skylight and a sun-catching pool deck, this flagship boutique in Los Angeles is a tribute to California Modernism, which is echoed by The Row’s own clean-lined aesthetic and signature style.

2. The Sanctuary, Sid Lee Architecture
Descend below Newbury Street, one of Boston’s oldest commercial stretches, and into a treasure trove for Adidas fans, where gear is presented among raw brick, metal, and concrete to highlight its streetwise vibe.

3. Chanel Ginza Namiki, Peter Marino Architect
This narrow, nine-story retail space in Tokyo’s Ginza district is a monument to the French fashion house. A matte black-and-white shell wraps around a refined interior that plays on Japanese minimalism.

4. Banks Journal, West of West
Situated in the shell of a historic building in L.A.’s Arts District, this flagship retail space for a surf-inspired menswear line features a lattice of ash and poplar wood that falls from the ceiling, connecting the brand’s Californian, Australian, and Japanese heritages.

5. KENZO, Rafael de Cárdenas / Architecture at Large
In the lush commercial neighborhood of Gangnam in Seoul, , Rafael de Cárdenas created an eye-catching facade composed of powder-coated metal, made to resemble a rack of yarn spools up close and evoking the colorful spirit of the KENZO brand.
