Although she fell short of the goal, she broke her own world record for the fastest-ever women’s mile in the process. Her performance, however, raised questions around technical attire and whether it meets the World Athletics regulations in order for her record to be ratified.

The Louvre is launching an international design competition to guide a $400 million refit that includes a new dedicated gallery for the Mona Lisa and a second public entrance. The overhaul, part of a broader “New Renaissance” initiative backed by President Macron, aims to relieve overcrowding and modernize infrastructure while respecting the museum’s historic architecture. A winning proposal will be selected by a global jury in early 2026.
