On offer: Built in 1907 as a private residence for the Hennessy family, French architect and designer Jean-Philippe Nuel has breathed new life into the 70 rooms, suites, and apartments, mixing contemporary furniture with herringbone parquet floors and Haussmann-era moldings.

Standout features: In the lobby, guests can stop by the Salon des Fragrances to pick up a custom pillow spray, choosing one of six fragrances designed exclusively for the property. Coming soon: An outpost of Singapore’s prestigious Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine.
