CULTURE CLUB

In Miami, a Toast for Female Designers of the Past, Present, and Future

On November 29, the Miami Art Week crowd congregated for a lively soirée to celebrate “Woman Made: Great Women Designers” (Phaidon), a comprehensive new tome spotlighting preeminent female creative talent across eras. Hosted by cultural powerhouse Solange Knowles at the Miami Beach residence of Craig Robins and Jackie Soffer, the evening kicked off with cocktails and tunes by DJ Rashida before adjourning to dinner prepared by Michelle Bernstein Catering. During the festivities, Solange announced the Saint Heron Ceramics Artist Residency, an upcoming Kering-backed program designed to promote the creative innovation of Black and Brown women ceramicists. Among the attendees were Daniel Arsham, Kerby Jean-Raymond, Mark Grattan, Chloe Wise, and more. Photos by Virus Yong/BFA.
