London-based artist Yulia Iosilzon’s second solo exhibition with Carvalho Park, A Chorus of Beauty and Menace, features a series of paintings on transparent fabric and ceramics. Depicting an “Arcadian playscape,” the body of works take place in a mise en scène suspended above a fictitious landscape, shrouded in the cloudy mindspace of Iosilzon’s dreamy visions. Conjured at the height of quarantine, the artist captures human figures in the surrealities of locked-down London.
