Cuff Studio is California-based and was founded in 2008 by Kristi Bender and Wendy Schwartz. All pieces are conceived and produced in Los Angeles. Inspired by geometry, architecture, and lifestyle, Cuff Studio furniture and lighting are timeless, modern, relaxed, and refined. Using an intentional layering and dialogue of materiality, form, density, and texture – all pieces are conceived to occupy a shared space in a way that feels evolved and dimensional without appearing matched. Cuff Studio has a gallery in Los Angeles and maintains a select inventory of offerings available for memo or sit tests in New York City and surrounding areas.
Both online and from their Melrose Ave. gallery, Cuff Studio presents an updated edit of future classics in collectible design. Dusty pinks, warm beiges, and burnt orange hues channel the distinct sense of place at play in Southern California’s topography.
C Back Chair
Low profile, barrel-backed with streamlined legs and arms, the C Back Chair makes a subtle statement and is comfortable for dining, office, or occasional seating.
Block Bench
A hand-chiseled solid block wood base meets a fully upholstered triangular-formed top. Texture, shape, and negative space are the driving design elements of the Block Bench which is one of Cuff Studio's most popular designs.
Rope Wrapped Globes
Inspired by Noguchi’s paper lanterns, Cuff Studio's rope-wrapped pendants add a soft textural glow. Entirely rope-wrapped by hand, they hang from a rope-wrapped canopy and can be installed in a grouping or as a single globe.
Solana Chaise
Catch chill vibrations, snooze, work, or curl up with a good book. Like the ripples of water, the Solana Chaise soothes and comforts. Undulating upholstery and an adjustable headrest pillow sit atop a sculptural and geometric wood base.
Double Paddle Table
Made of solid wood with bullnose edging, the Double Paddle Table is double the fun. Suitable for slimmer dining spaces, as a center division between two seating areas in a large living room, or as a library table, this voluminous and organic iteration of the geometry that threads Cuff Studio's designs may be customized to fit your specific needs.
